OS Abbie Scott helps England’s Red Roses to the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final

England Academy v Canada Maple Leafs

Old Sedberghian Abbie Scott (R 09-11) was part of the England team who came close to defending their Women’s Rugby World Cup Title in Ireland this Summer.

Unfortunately, they were defeated by an impressive New Zealand side in the final with a final score of 41-32 on 26th August.

Abbie excelled individually and was the player  with “the most prolific at turnovers”.

Women’s Rugby has never had so much interest from the public with it being “broadcast to more countries over the world than ever before.”

We are watching with interest at what’s to come next.
