Old Sedberghian Golf Society 2016 Tour

The tourists have returned and another successful week has been enjoyed in Lancashire and Cumbria. 3 OSs plus their host Donald Mackay played at Royal Lytham St Anne’s on Tuesday 10th May: then 10 OSs played at Fairhaven GC on Wednesday 11th: 12 OSs played against the School team at Lancaster GC on Thursday 12th – and the School team included an OS member of staff John Liddiard!: and finally 7 OSs played at Carus Green GC, Kendal, on Friday 13th. Great OS Turn Out For an Evening with Will Greenwood

On Thursday 19th May a large numbers of OSs attended a wonderful evening with Will Greenwood at Wetherby Racecourse.  OSs of all generations attended the event and among those were eleven of Will’s 1990/1991 Sedbergh 1st XV side. Will gave an inspiring insight into his experiences of the 2003 World Cup. Enormous thanks go to Duncan Berry (SH 85-91) and Richard Smailes (SH 86-91) for organising the successful event. Hollywood actor Fraser Precious (W99-06) journeys to glamorous Cannes

Determination, strength and commitment are the three qualities Fraser Precious believes has majorly shaped his life. Having lived and worked in 4 countries by the age of 28, Fraser is adamant that without those key ingredients he would not be standing where he is today succeeding as an actor and producer in Los Angeles. Originally from Cambridge and having spent 7 years at Sedbergh School, Fraser has recently produced and starred in the short film ‘To Feel Human’ that has just screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival where it received overwhelming feedback.
