INVITING ALL TO THE 2019 REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY SERVICE AT SEDBERGH SCHOOL

OS, Honorary OS, Parents, and Friends of Sedbergh, are warmly invited to attend the Remembrance Service at the School Cloisters on Sunday 10th November 2019. More than 550 pupils, staff and Old Sedberghians will meet on Sunday morning for a poignant Service of Remembrance, held around the School’s Victoria Cross Memorial. The service will begin at 10:45 am at the Cloisters. All guests are required to be in place at the Cloisters by no later than 10:30 am. OS LADIES’ HOCKEY TEAM NARROWLY MISS OUT ON WINNING THE DEAN CLOSE ALUMNI SIXES TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to the OS Ladies’ Hockey Team who performed superbly to finish second in the Dean Close Alumni Sixes Hockey Tournament at the Dean Close School in Cheltenham on October 27th. This year was the third time the Old Sedberghians had been invited to participate in the special tournament, having made the final on their debut two years ago and also reaching the Semi Finals last year. ANNOUNCING ‘THE OS HISTORY SOCIETY’

Following the success of the Pilgrimage, the OS Committee has explored the opportunities that may exist to continue the interest in the various theatres of war in which Old Sedberghians have fought. It was agreed that the Pilgrimage had achieved its objectives; that of visiting the places of memorial of our fallen, educating those who joined the Pilgrimage, and drawing people together in the more social aspects of the trips.
