To commemorate this friendship, Sedbergh School Football Club will play Rugby School on the Close on Sunday 11th January 2015.

The DINNER the night before the Match (10th January), hosted by Rugby School, for the Teams, Coaching Staff & visiting OSs will be held in the new Collingwood Centre Hall, Rugby School. Arrangements for a Commemorative Service are being made for the Sunday morning and further details about local accommodation will be available shortly.

Any OSs wishing to attend should contact Nigel Horsfall at the OS Club office – osclub@sedberghschool.org – 015396 21290 for further details.

However, it is hoped that the Old Sedberghians may be able to play a commemorative match in France in the Armentieres/Ypres area, either against local opposition or the Old Rugbeians if they can marshal their forces, possibly in April/May next year. Anyone interested in this special game is warmly invited to get in touch with Hamish Smales on email or by phone, – hamishsmales@hotmail.com or on 0782 143 1861.
