Information about OS Weekend 2022

The OS Club is delighted to welcome the Sedberghian community back to Sedbergh for OS Weekend later this year, which will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2022

The Weekend will be held in conjunction with OS Sports Weekend, including OS hockey, rugby, running, shooting, golf and netball fixtures against the School teams.

The OS President’s Lunch will be held on Saturday at 1pm at the Hirst Centre. Following the Lunch there will be a 1st XI Girls’ School Hockey match on the Astroturf and a 1st XV match on Buskholme.

If you are able to play for any of the OS sporting teams please register your interest with Benjamin Collins at bpc@sedberghschool.org.

On the Saturday evening the OS Weekend Dinner will take place in Powell Hall. There will be a Drinks Reception upon arrival in and around Powell Hall followed by a three-course meal, with tea and coffee to follow. Last year we were delighted to welcome over 140 guests for the Dinner and more still for the sporting fixtures held throughout the weekend.

If you require accommodation for the Saturday evening, the OS Club has reserved some rooms locally. Please get in touch with Ben Collins if you should require reserved accommodation.

Saturday 1st October

1:00pm President’s Lunch at the Hirst Centre (Free admission. Dress: Smart casual)
2:30pm 1st XV Rugby Match on Buskholme
2:30pm 1st XI Girls’ Hockey Match on the Astroturf
7:00pm OS Drinks Reception in Powell Hall
8:00pm OS Weekend Dinner in Powell Hall (Dress: Business casual)

Sunday 2nd October

10:15am OS Commemoration Service in the School Chapel
12:00pm Complimentary Brunch in the Boarding Houses
1:00pm OS Sporting Events (to be announced)
4:00pm Match Tea for all players at the Hirst Centre (Free admission) 

Partners are welcome.

Tickets for the Dinner will be available in due course and will include a three-course dinner with drink and a glass of prosecco or soft drink on arrival. More details will be announced in future OS Club Newsletters when available.
