Residential Sports Coach Positions Available

An exciting job opportunity is available for recent or upcoming university graduates. Please see the job details below:

Recruitment Director at Independent Coach Education, Daniel Scargill (P 92-97), is currently recruiting university leavers for Sport Graduate roles in UK schools. Dan is recruiting young hockey, rugby, netball, lacrosse, and cricket coaches to start work as a full-time, residential sports coach within an elite school in the UK.

Since the pandemic, graduate recruitment has become a bigger challenge for schools. Independent Coach Education have been recruiting Graduate Assistants on behalf of independent schools for over 15 years, and in that time have made over 1,500 appointments. The posts start immediately or in January 2022 and include a healthy salary, free accommodation, all meals and no bills.

All appointed candidates for September 2022 will attend an ICE training day, to ensure they are very well prepared and fully understand all the requirements of the graduate role. Sport Graduate jobs are ideal for young coaches in their 20’s who have experience in coaching children and/or have played to a high level. Coaching badges are preferred but not essential. A quick route to PGCE can also be included.

TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME – SEDBERGH SCHOOL

Interested in a career change?

Sedbergh is running its own Initial Teacher Training Programme linked with The University of Buckingham from September 2020. This will be school based training at Sedbergh Senior School or Casterton, Sedbergh Prep school to gain qualified teacher status in conjunction with an online training course with the University of Buckingham (plus two residentials). I changed from Chartered Surveying to teaching at the age of 40, so its never too late!

Have you ever thought of changing career and making a difference?

We have started an initial teacher training scheme at Sedbergh in conjunction with The University of Buckingham. It is school based with online training and takes 10 months. The post is on a salary with free accommodation, free meals during term time and you will have the help of experienced professional and subject mentors to support you throughout the year. Some packages include payment of university fees.

GSC Grays is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, Land and Estate Agents operating predominantly in the north of England. Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a qualified Rural Practice Surveyor to undertake estate management and rural professional work.

The position will be based at our office in Colburn, North Yorkshire and will cover work across our other offices as well as client sites in the North East. The role will report to one of our Directors and requires someone who is a qualified member of the RICS, with a minimum of 2 years’ post qualified experience and a proven track record in the rural sector. You will also need the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, be commercially astute and strategically focused. Ideally, applicants should also be RICS Accredited Valuers and/or members of the CAAV.

You must be comfortable with a high degree of autonomy, have excellent team orientated interpersonal skills and be capable of monitoring and managing the work of one or more graduate surveyors and/or placement students.

The opportunity offers a wide range of challenging and rewarding management and professional work on behalf of private and corporate clients. The successful candidate will have a broad mix of professional interests including estate and sporting management, landlord and tenant matters, valuations, strategic planning and general advice.
