OS HISTORY SOCIETY: 26th-30th APRIL ARNHEM TOUR 🇳🇱
Following the great success of the WW1 Pilgrimage, the OS Club plans to launch its first History Society trip from 26th to 30th April 2023 to Arnhem, Netherlands, and the surrounding area where there was some significant OS involvement during WW2. The tour will also offer the chance to learn more about the history and culture of the area in addition to paying tribute to the previous generations of Sedberghians. We will be retaining the services of Dr Bruce Cherry who was so instrumental in making the Pilgrimage tours a success.
INDICATIVE COSTS AND ITINERARY:

Day 1 Wednesday 26 April 2023 Netherlands
- Train from London St Pancras → Brussels Midi
- Tour Manager service for day
- Touring coach hire for the day
- Meet with your tour coach and depart for Eindhoven via Joe’s Bridge, Lommel

Day 2 Thursday 27 April 2023 Netherlands

- In the permanent presentation of the Airborne Museum you go through the Battle of Arnhem from day to day. From the airborne landings on the Ginkelse Heide to the evacuation across the Rhine to Driel. Dive into history!

Day 4 Saturday 29 April 2023 Netherlands, Belgium

- Local Brussels Guide – Half Day Sightseeing Tour
- Adult Admission – Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History
- Here you’ll find medieval armour and souvenirs from the Napoleonic campaigns, as well as a hundred or so aircraft and armoured vehicles from the two Great Wars. A breathtaking panoramic view awaits you at the top of the Arcade.
