OS HISTORY SOCIETY: 3rd-8th SEPTEMBER 2025 ARNHEM TOUR FOLLOWED BY A SPECIAL 500TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN YPRES

Arnhem1

Following the great success of the WW1 Pilgrimage, the OS Club plans to launch its first History Society trip on Wednesday 3rd September – Monday 8th September 2025 to Arnhem, Netherlands, and the surrounding area where there was some significant OS involvement during WW2. After completing the tour of Arnhem, the party will also join up with the School Battlefields trip to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of Sedbergh School in Ypres. There will be performances by the School Choir at St Martin’s Cathedral in Ypres and a special performance of the Last Post at the Menin Gate. The trip will also offer the chance to learn more about the history and culture of both areas in addition to paying tribute to the previous generations of Sedberghians. We will be retaining the services of Dr Bruce Cherry who was so instrumental in making the Pilgrimage tours a success.

If you would be interested in attending, please get in contact with Ben Collins at bpc@sedberghschool.org.
