OS PHOTO COMPETITION – WINNERS ANNOUNCED

We are delighted to reveal the winners of our recent OS Photo Competition. We would like to say a big thank you to all those who submitted some truly awe-inspiring entries, which made the judging process for the panel a very difficult task. A full range of stunning imagery from around the world was submitted, and all photos were judged on their aesthetic quality as well as originality. Animals: 

Top Prize: ‘Rest after the Hunt – Leopard seal’, submitted by Edward Wright (W 84-89). The image was taken in Antarctica and is of a female Leopard seal. This was taken whilst on an expedition with Robert Swan (W 70-74) OBE, who had kindly invited Ed on one of his expeditions as an expedition photographer. These are expeditions on which he brings environmentally aware elected people in order to showcase the beauty and fragility of Antarctica in order to raise awareness as to why we should all participate in its preservation, and the importance of Antarctica for the wider climate stability of the planet.
