OS, Honorary OS, Parents, and Friends of Sedbergh, gathered on Sunday 13th November to mark Remembrance Day alongside current students and staff.
Against a stunning backdrop of blue skies and bright sunshine, Sedberghians past and present attended a moving service at the School Cloisters, with a beautiful selection of music and readings.
Later in the afternoon, members of the Sedbergh School Chapel Choir past and present came together to prepare for a performance of Faure’s Requiem in the School Chapel. It was fantastic to welcome back some familiar faces, with many OS having the chance to reconnect after rehearsals over lunch in Queen’s Hall.
Supported by staff, parents, OS and people from the town, it was a poignant performance featuring accomplished solos from current students Archie and Olivia. Offering a moment of peace and reflection, it was the perfect way to bring Remembrance Day 2022 to a close.
