Iss Topdown 2

For over a decade, Sedbergh International Summer School (ISS) has been attracting international pupils from all around the globe to Sedbergh. Accredited by the British Council, we provide a unique summer experience where pupils can enjoy a rich educational experience, improving their language skills whilst developing existing talents, discovering new passions and making life-long friendships with other pupils from around the world.

We are now seeking to appoint energetic and suitably experienced Activity Staff to join the ISS team.

Reporting to the Activity Co-Ordinator, Activity staff will be responsible for leading sports, recreational and social activities during the afternoons and evenings. Activity staff also lead and support our weekly excursions, contribute to delivery of the extra-curricular programme and perform any other duties as required for the smooth running of the course. Full board and accommodation will be provided by the school.

The Summer School experience is an intense, but deeply rewarding one. Applicants must be 18 or over and will be able to plan and deliver a wide range of activities and social events.  Applicants must also be able to communicate effectively, establishing an excellent rapport with staff and young people alike. A good sense of humour is essential!

Applications from suitably qualified Old Sedberghians or staff are especially welcomed. Ideally, applicants must be able to commit to the full duration of the course, but appointments of 3 weeks will be considered.

Salary: £425 per week plus accommodation and board
