SEDBERGH STAFF AND STUDENTS RUNNING IN THE LONDON MARATHON

On 23 April 2017, a team of 10 staff and students from Sedbergh School will be running the London marathon. We are runners of a wide range of ages and abilities and we all have our own reasons for wanting to set ourselves this challenge. Some of us may have been forcibly made to run up the hills that surround our peaceful, safe and privileged school while others have had a different introduction to running however we are all making the effort over the next few months to get marathon fit (enough!) to go the distance whilst, even more importantly, raising some money for a wonderful charity, Afghanaid. We have set ourselves an ambitious total of £15000 so clearly we have a lot of work to do and a series of events are being planned for the Lent term to help us reach this target. Any support that the OS community could offer us would be VERY gratefully received. There are also one or two places for London still available if anyone would like to join us!!

The Sedbergh team are:

U6 Pupils: Pippa MacDonald (Robertson) , Isobelle Page (Robertson) and Ben Watson (Evans)

Staff: Mrs Laura Bolton (Head of Art), Mrs Hayley Christy (Housemistress, Robertson), Mrs Mel Corrigan (Robertson Tutor and Learning Support) , Mr Jim Fisher (Geology Teacher), Dr Emily Fitzherbert (Biology teacher), Mr David Nuttall (Evans Tutor, Geography Teacher and Shooting coach), and Mrs Jackie Walkom (Overseas Registrar)
