‘THE SEDBERGHIAN’ RACEHORSE WINS ON DEBUT

‘The Sedberghian’ got off to a flying start on her career debut last week with a thrilling come-from-behind win at Wolverhampton Racecourse. Competing against eleven other horses, the two-year-old slowly came into her stride, switching left inside for the final furlong, then running on to lead towards the finish in the final seconds, crossing over the line with her brown and gold colours. Born in Ireland in April 2018, The Sedberghian is currently trained by Ollie Pimlott (P 01-06) and Tim Fitzgerald and was ridden to victory by jockey James Sullivan.

Owing to a great response at starting an owner’s syndicate, racing manager and former Head of School, Max Pimlott (P 04-09), and his trainer brother, Ollie (P 01-06), recently purchased The Sedberghian for shareholding.

“Really pleasing debut win from The Sedberghian under Jimmy Sullivan,” Max said after the race. “Well trained by Ollie Pimlott but loads of credit to Alex Drabble who looks after her.”

Congratulations to both Max and Ollie and all involved!
